About Us
The Bush River Yacht Club is a non-profit organization founded in 1939. We are located on the beautiful Bush River in Harford County, Maryland, just minutes from Baltimore, and 45 minutes from Philadelphia. The Bush River is a major tributary of the Chesapeake Bay, slightly north of Poole's Island on the Western Shore.
Bush River Yacht Club is a founding member of the Yacht Clubs of Maryland and a Charter Member of the Chesapeake Bay Yacht Clubs Association. We also have a Chapter of the International Order of the Blue Gavel, which is a world-wide organization of over 4000 Past Commodores of qualified yacht clubs.
As a member of Bush River Yacht Club you will join a group intensely involved with the enjoyment of boating and quickly become a part of the reason Bush River Yacht Club is one of the "Best on the Bay."

News
Members ,
Over the last few weeks we have had several incidents causing damage to member's property on the club grounds. An optimist might attribute the activity to carelessness by other members. A pessimist would surmise it was vandalism by outsiders coming onto the grounds. At this time, there is insufficient evidence to draw firm conclusions.
The Board of Governors is concerned but not greatly alarmed and will continue to monitor the situation. Please be sure to inform one of the officers if something happens to your property or if you have other information which may be helpful.
We have decided to take one action that you are likely to notice quickly. The front gate will be closed more often. Please take the time now to find your gate card and ensure you have it with you when coming to the club. An officer can provide you with another one if necessary. If the club is open you can use the intercom on the card reader to ask someone to let you in.

This is just a friendly reminder that Carol Burdette and I are still looking for Past Commodores Pictures, if you have one that you would like to pass along you can either hand deliver it to either of us at the club or you may mail it to Carol her address is 903 S. Fountain Green Road Bel Air, MD 21015.
Carol is hoping to have this up by Opening Weekend and so far she is on track.
