About Us

We are the Bush River Yacht Club, an non-profit organization founded in 1939. We are located on the beautiful Bush River in Harford County, Maryland, just minutes from Baltimore, and 45 minutes from Philadelphia. The Bush River is a major tributary of the Chesapeake Bay, slightly north of Poole's Island on the Western Shore.

Bush River Yacht Club is a founding member of the Yacht Clubs of Maryland and a Charter Member of the Chesapeake Bay Yacht Clubs Association. We also have a Chapter of the International Order of the Blue Gavel, which is a world-wide organization of over 4000 Past Commodores of qualified yacht clubs.
